Reaction to Love Sick.

l. Summary
I chose to summarize and react to the short film,Love Sick made in 2012 and written, directed and edited by Kevin Lacy. A man has just got dumped by his girlfriend. He is devastated, however, not for long, as he is walking back with a broken heart he suddenly fall in love with a lady walking into a train. He begins another mission to find her as he just misses the train. This is an unsuccessful attempt as the audience all expected. As he is sitting down in the dumps he ridiculously falls in love with another lady jogging past him in the park.

ll. Reaction

1. Soundtrack
The music used in 'Love Sick' enhances the setting and themes of the film.The music used makes you believe that everything may go well, however his dreams are shattered as we first expected.The fast paced music increases to give the film an inspirational undertone.

2. Main characters
A man who like Shakespeare's Romeo lamenting his broken heart over Rosalind only to move on to Juliet once he views her countenance. He is broken heart and depressed, until he sees the girl of his dreams.

3. Mood
I can feel the mood from main character. I like the movie is fun simply. It made me happy. It is expressed that excited love.

lll. General Opinion
To love is the law of life itself, is one of the most sublime actions that a human being is capable of . If we teach full of love with passion, we save and we will understand more easily.

Reaction to Rapunzel from the Grimm's Fairytales.

I. Summary
A pregnant woman sends her husband to a witch's garden to pick up some rapunzel.The witch tells him,she gets the baby when it's born and he can take some.The baby is born,the witch locks her in a tower with no exit, and only a window.One day,a prince comes by and hears Rapunzel singing from the tower.They have an epic love story,until the witch finds out.Angry the witch banished the girl to a wasteland.A prince leaps from the tower in despair and is blinded by the thorns below.Eventually,he finds her,and she cries into his eyes.The tears cure him of his blindness.They have twins,and return to his kingdom to live happily ever after.

II. Reaction

1. Imagery
Ostensibly,the story is the tale of a young girl,locked up in a tower by a wicked witch,the real concern of the story,however,being lust and the dangers it represents to girls as they enter the rites of passage of puberty.Symbolism pervades the story,as in all fairy tales,giving rise to diverse interpretations.

2. Theme
The story of theme is selfish love is destructive.And one of the most enduring themes is that of a parent wanting to safeguard their child from all harm but doing harm to them in the process.She was locked up to keep her safe but wasn't allowed to experience all of the joys that life has to offer.It's really excellent because it explains the themes and symbolism of the tale, which include perseverance and love.

3. Protagonist
Rapunzel is a hero.She was locked in a high tower.The only person whom she ever saw was the wicked witch.One day, a prince was passing by and heard her sing.He fell in love with her voice and unknown to all came to the tower every day to hear her sing.

4. General opinion
I think the story is perseverance story of Rapunzel and a prince.And when you love someone enough, you are willing to do anything, and you are willing to sacrifice everything.When your love for someone is strong enough, nothing will be able to get in the way.In the end, true love with always win.

Reaction to The Happy Prince

I. Summary

The story written by Oscar Wilde. I think the story is an allegory.It brings out the importance of charity.We learn that love and sacrifice can endear us to god.the Happy Prince in the story is no living prince.He is the statue of a dead the Happy Prince decorated with gold leaves and precious stones.The story teaches a very useful and very true lesson.We learn that god loves those who love their fellow human beings.

ll. Reaction

1. Plot
Through out the story,an angel who has been orderd by god to find the two most precious things the Happy Prince can find on earth and bring them back to him.The angel brings back the dead the swallow and the lead heart and God is happy and says that the swallow will now sing forevermore and the Happy Prince will always be happy.

2. Character
The Happy Prince: The statue that can see what's going on around him,but cannot move.He was happy all through his life,but now he weeps for he can see all of the hardship that faces the people of his city.He asks the Swallow to take pieces of him and give them to the poor of the city.In the end,he is melted down as the statue is not beautiful without its decorations.

3. Point of view
The story is a story about humankind.More than charity, the tale shows the irony of an apparently dead the statue and a swallow who are more generous than people.

4. General opinion
I think the story is worth reading because it's easy to understand.I really liked the story because the Happy Prince and the swallow didn't think of themselves and helped the poor.They show how we should behave when someone is in misery.

Reaction to The Important Things in Life

I. Summary

The short story I chose to summarize is The Important Thing in Life.It is very simple.It is written about understanding the priorities of life.I feel we must always support our family first, and this story proves it.It's something to think about our lifes and values.

II. Reaction

1. Imagery
The story has a good imagery.I like it very much.I don't think what is important in life before I read.After reading I realized that what is important in life.

2. Theme
The story of theme is the importance of my family, friends.I think that the message here is to set your social priorities first, family always come first in fact the inner peace come from socializing with your family and friends and the unimportant things always come in the second stage even if it was more important to you than socializing.

3. Form
The power of simplicity.That is what the story demonstrates.The story underlines the need to give priority to the important over the urgent.

4. General opinion
I think the story is true about our life.It is very beautiful and touching story for students and adults.It gives the perspecive for looking at your life in true sence.

Reaction to My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun

I. Summary

The poem written by William Shakespeare.I think the poem is lyric poetry because the poem was writing about his mistress.The first two quatrains compare the speaker's mistress to aspects of nature,such as snow or coral;each comparison ending unflatteringly for the mistress.

II. Reaction

1. Imagery
The four colors that Shakespeare uses to describe his mistress is red,white,dun,and black.All of these colors have symbolism that show he loves her.

2. Rhythm
The first twelve lines rhyme in alternating pairs.A If hairs be wires,black wires grow on her head.B So, for the whole poem,the rhyme scheme would be ABABCDCDEFEFGG.

3. Metaphor

The first two lines begin with similes that use contrasts to describe his mistress's appearance.Her “eyes are nothing like the sun” and coral is redder than her lip color.Then metaphors come into play.The first contrasts her dun colored breasts to white snow, and the next one compares her hair to black wires.

4. General opinion

The poem is written by William Shakespeare about the love towards an imperfect woman.He explains that although his mistress is imperfect, he finds his love special and "rare."The theme of this poem is to reflect and understand true love.

I. Summary

I chose the poem which written byWilliam Shakespeare.This poem is a soliloquy from Hamlet.I think the poem is  free verse because the poem express Hamlet's　feelings.The poem tell we  human's destiny and living.

At the beginning of the poem,"To be or not to be".I think this mean "living or dying".The poem express Hamlet's mind trouble so the poem's image is very glommy on the whole.

2. Connotation
The poem means I think whether you accept you if destined, and you endure the situation to get if the worst or I plan difficult revenge and prepare for death, and do you fight?

3. Theme
The poem express Hamlet's mind trouble.Hamlet was troubled about living or dying.

4. General opinion
At the beginning of the poem,"To be or not to be"have some mean.I think this mean "living or dying",but I can think that are you wrong as it is whether you are all right?Let's you think about this poem!
